We closed our From winter 2024 we are moving to a purpose built comedy club with our sister brand, Betty & Joan’s.  We’re working hard to build our incredible new club and bar and can’t wait to show you what we’re creating.  We’ll still be offering all the incredible comedy you’ve come to expect from The Queer Comedy Club it will just be in a brand spanking new venue.  This move will allow us to expand our offering and create an even more incredible space for our audience. Until we open we will continue to be based in our current location in Archway and shows will continue as normal.

What’s Happening?

From winter 2024 The Queer Comedy Club is moving to it’s own permanent home which will be in Elephant & Castle (zone 1).  This will be a brand new comedy club that we have designed and built from scratch to best serve our audience.  

Will everything be the same?

We are planning some changes but essentially everything you love about QCC will remain, just in a better environment that is our own (rather than someone else’s space that we borrow).

Will it be accessible?

The new venue will be fully wheelchair accessible.

Is there a bar?

The new club is colocated with a brand new gay bar, Betty & Joan’s, which has been created by the team behind The Queer Comedy Club. It will be an incredible new space to drink, socialise, relax & enjoy our amazing entertainment.

What about comedy right now?

We closed our existing venue at the end of May to enable us to focus on the massive task of creating our new venue. In the meantime we are taking up four shows to the Edinburgh Fringe and you can find all of those details here.  We also have two TV series available to stream on OUTflix and OUTtv – they are an amazing streaming platform focused on LGBTQ+ content and we have loads of shows on there to keep you entertained until we arrive back in London.

Weren’t you meant to be open by now?

We did hope to be open in July 2024, however, unfortunately, there has been a delay with the building work on the new venue and this has forced us to push back our opening.  The good news is this has allowed us to take some shows to Edinburgh Fringe and we can assure you that the new venue will totally be worth the wait!
